Here’s a short video of us making a batch of sauerkraut. I guess, technically, its more of a batch of lacto-fermented vegetables as it also contains beans and carrots.
Turning your vegetables into a batch of fermented deliciousness is easy and I encourage everyone to try it out. Prep your vegetables, toss them with salt, put them in a container for a few weeks (we use a crock, but you can use all sorts of containers), transfer the kraut to jars and store them in the refrigerator. The results will keep for weeks or longer.
We don’t have a recommended recipe, there’s a ton of them out there. Just look around for one that suits your tastes and give it a whirl!
